I was asked to design a central  image for the 10 anniversary of the Graphic Design School at Cetys University ( 3 Campuses in Baja California, México), the theme was around the number 10, "10 years of inspiring minds to innovate). I went for a Bauhaus tribute.

Me pidieron diseñara una imagen central para el aniversario de la Licenciatura en Diseño Gráfico en Cetys Universidad, el tema era alrededor del número 10 y la frase "10 años inspirando mentes a innovar". Un obvio tributo a la Bauhuas.

...Two Words Brewery

I was invited by a friend to participate in an art jam for his homebrewed beer project, "Two Words Brewery", which resulted in a little personal ilustration exercise project for me as a series of beer labels, loosely based on Chess pieces and some references to Stephen King and King Crimson.

Un amigo me invitó a participar en un art jam, para la etiqueta de una cerveza artesanal que esta haciendo, lo que resultó en un pequeño experimento/proyecto y le seguí con toda la serie, vagamente basada en las piezas de un juego de ajedrez, Stephen King y la música de King Crimson"

Disclaimer: I'm not sure if "The Dark Tower" and "Crimson King" are copyrighted by Stephen King, but anyways its a homebrewery with no intention to sell, pleaso don't sue / no se si "The Dark Tower" y "Crimson King" las tenga registradas, pero es cerveza artesanal sin intención de venderla,

A couple of weeks ago, i got an e-mail from a now friend from Spain, about enjoying my artwork, so Julio is in a band called "Metropol"  and so got talking about (exchanged some e-mails)  some art and music, and maybe some possible future collaborations, here's a piece that came about while listening to their songs.

Between the dayjob/work, other projects, and just plain excuses i've been puttin off a personal project for a while now, and i mean a really long time (college i mean), but i recently concluded that until i get this thing out of my system, i won't be able to complete any more personal stuff.

my own imposed deadline is July 23 (my 30th. birthday AND first day of San Diego Comic-Con)

Entre el trabajo, otros proyectos y basicamente escusas y pretextos, he estado evitando terminar un proyecto personal que comenzé hace mucho tiempo (desde la universidad), recientemente me dí cuenta que hasta que no termine esto, no voy a poder seguir con otros proyectos personales.

Me impuse como límite para terminarlo el 23 de Julio (cumplo 30 años ese día Y el primer día del Comic-Con de San Diego)

Thanx to Isma for inviting me to do a guest stint on his weekly web comic strip, "Nerdmigos" it was a fun experiment, doing some old school illustrating and giving writtin' a try, check it out at his webpage for a full resolution image.

Gracias a Ismael, por invitarme a participar como ilustrador/escritor invitado en su web comic semanal, "Nerdmigos", cambiar un poco el estilo a hacer algo a lapiz y tratar de escribir algo, aunque sea corto, fue un experimento divertido, chequen su página para ver a buena resolución la imagen.

I was asked to design a tattoo based on the Alice in Wonderland white rabbit character, this is my first sketch, i loved doing a simple pencil/line ilustration for a change...

Me pidieron diseñara un tatuaje basado en el conejo blanco de "Alicia en el país de las maravillas", me encantó poder hacer algo sencillo a lápiz para variarle un poco al trabajo...

Am i alone thinking that the new movie is a bit overproduced and uninspired ?
